This committee is responsible for planning the
chapter's annual golf tournament. This includes securing the location
and raffle prizes, soliciting sponsors, taking reservations, checking
in participants, monitoring play and scoring the foursomes.
The awards committee is responsible for planning
the chapter's annual Beautification Awards Program. Duties include:
collecting entries, securing judges, setting judging schedules, tallying
judged projects, ordering trophies, and securing the location, MC,
and catering for the awards program.
This committee works with local high schools and
vocational training centers to promote landscaping as a viable career
path.
The Water Committee is working with local government
agencies and water purveyors to promote the benefits of landscaping
and protect the interests of the landscape industry in any future
legislation regarding water conservation.
